Società Cooperativa has been operating in the Bellaria area since 2008 in the processing and conservation of fruit and vegetables through services such as acceptance, selection, washing, cutting, weighing, packaging, conservation, sterilisation, etc. of local production of fruit and vegetables.
It is the natural transformation of a family farm born in the 1950s and now in its third generation.
The company mission is to offer only products to retain their taste and quality characteristics,
grown responsibly and consciously with respect for nature.
The main stages that have marked the company's history are the 70s when it begins to develop relationships with large-scale retail trade, the 80s when it is among the first to bring ready-to-use fresh-cut salads to supermarkets , i.e. cut, washed and packaged vegetables.
Agri-food processing is a technological and economic process that creates added value to an agricultural product by allowing it to be used in different forms and conditions than the original ones at the time of harvest.
N.I.C.O. Soc. Coop. has always been concerned with selecting the best and most resistant varieties in the fruit and vegetable sector, with an eye towards those who produce through the use of cultivation systems with low environmental impact for the reduction of chemical interventions.
We produce directly and through a group of farms associated with us that we follow directly with our technicians and supply specifications in the most suitable areas of the peninsula both in open fields and in greenhouses.
We control production up to the finished harvest: we have a HACCP self-control system, we carry out regular inspections in the field and in production, we chemically and microbiologically analyze each product.
